The vision of the IEB is to advance quality teaching and learning in South Africa through an assessment process of integrity, innovation and international comparability.

Our Preparation courses prepares students for their international Cambridge examinations.



The work of the IEB is underpinned by a commitment to the following values:  Integrity, respect, commitment and service, professionalism, communication, quality. The IEB uses the South African national curriculum which is regulated by the Department of Basic Education.

​With the Dante IEB Preparation and Assessment, students can:

  • Prepare their SBA file - Portfolio.

Each candidate must keep a learner file of written work all of which should be in the targeted language and assessed by the teacher. Candidates may start work on their learner files from September of Grade 11 year, but all work included in the learner file will be assessed at Grade 12 level.​

  • Complete their IEB Papers

Dante offers interactive and engaging activities for exam preparation. These activities include:

  • Focus on building reading, writing, listening and speaking skills as they are used in the real world

  • An intensive, in-depth writing and speaking practice, such as summarizing a lecture or explaining a homework assignment.

Cambridge Exams give students a clear path for educational success from age 5 to 19. Schools can shape the curriculum around how they want students to learn – with a wide range of subjects and flexible ways to offer them. It helps students discover new abilities and a wider world, and gives them the skills they need for life, so they can achieve at school, university and work.

With Dante Cambridge Preparation, students can:

  • Prepare for their Exam using the official Cambridge material

  • Create their Syllabus 

  • Take the Cambridge Exam at their School, if this is an accredited center for one of the international Cambridge examinations

Dante offers interactive and engaging activities for exam preparation. These activities include:

  • Incorporate needed subskills, such as skimming, scanning and making inferences

  • Accelerate language acquisition with visual and audio prompts and cues

  • Support communicative language teaching and learning with activities relevant to real-world language usage​
